Seems therefore they did not pass on what they knew to police, which should be a crime in itself.

i think it's closer to 5 million with all the selling of kingdom hells and branch bethel's all over the world.

it's even hard to get a hard copy of the lastest craptower or afake mag now in new york city..

I think they have always exaggerated numbers.

Any organization that proclaims their view to be the superior and only true one usually does.

It's basically - "Hey look at us. Our numbers are growing. Folks have figured out we MUST be right!"

At it's heart, it's a huge sign of insecurity.

sooo.... i've been perusing recent topics for a few minutes and seeing pretty much the standard jw fare these days - scandals, abuse, bad behavior, cover ups, bullying, shunning, family splits, torturous extrications from a cult, mind control etc.. i started to try and think of anything the dubs were doing that was actually beneficial to mankind in any way, and i'm struggling.

I've been perusing recent topics for a few minutes and seeing pretty much the standard JW fare these days - scandals, abuse, bad behavior, cover ups, bullying, shunning, family splits, torturous extrications from a cult, mind control etc.

I started to TRY and think of anything the Dubs were doing that was actually beneficial to mankind in any way, and I'm struggling. Without being facetious, WTF do they do to make anybody's life better? Help me out here.

PROS

Employment for cart manufacturers

Employment for abuser defence lawyers

Some stadium hire, probably big discount

Hotel room hire

Fast food consumption.

Tablet sales.

Give your Auntie Mabel somewhere to go on a Wednesday night.

Yeah, Im reaching..

Would be more here but all their labor costs are from ~~slaves~~ volunteers.

CONS

No charity work, unless you're a loyal JW. Even then, better if you're in a disaster overseas.

Anything positive I can think of is offset. Ok they buy a lot of bad cheap suits but no birthday cakes.

I'm sure I've missed some but they really are a LONG way in debit in terms of being useful humans, yet believe they are special. Kind of bizarre when examined this way.

What percentage do you think know deep down that their lives are a waste but feel trapped by some circumstance. I think that number is rising with a bullet as opposed to those who genuinely believe they are about to board a train to Paradise for being good soldiers.

the watchtower doesn't hold out any hope for us ever seeing our beloved animals again.

i find it very difficult to believe that god -- a god of love -- would refuse to resurrect an animal that we had become so attached to.

over the years i have bonded with no less than four (4) dogs, all of which were/are like family to me.

You can still be with your beloved pets after death.

Just get adjoining burial plots.

Some worming tablets for you both might make your afterlives more pleasant.

she sure has gone down in my estimation as an actress and /or role model for young women if that what she was ever about in the first place .. how gross is that ?

it turns out that “a cord of three strands is stronger” is bullshit and two people in a relationship are perfectly capable of being happy without outside influence.
